By default, RaceDay Scoring Races have separate Start and Finish Timing Locations built for you, but in many cases you may have both starts and finishes collected on the same readers. This guide will walk you through how to convert a Race that has been set up with two locations, Start and Finish, to one with a single shared Start/Finish Location.
TABLE OF CONTENTS

1). Add a new Start/Finish Timing Location
Go to Timing Locations, then select Add Location to add a new Start/Finish Location:
Here you will set both your consider start times until and finish times after settings in one spot. You also need to say that you are accepting up to 2 occurrences at this location. Then you need to define a "Gap Factor", which would be the minimum time between two reads that you would expect to see. For a 5k, that may be something like 00:13:00.000 (13 minutes).
2). Edit your Stream(s) so that they are used in your new Start/Finish Timing Location.
Next, go to your Streams, edit your existing Stream, and update the Timing Locations so that it's used in your new Start/Finish Timing Location and removed from your old separate Start and Finish Locations.
3). Edit Scored Events to use your new Start/Finish Timing Location.
Next, go to your Scored Events and update the Start and Finish Timing Locations to use your new common Start/Finish Location. Be sure to say that they will finish on the second occurrence.
4). Delete the old separate Start and Finish Locations.
Finally, go to Timing Locations and delete your now unused separate Start and Finish Locations.
