All default Team Reports will include all Team Types combined. Sometimes, you need to have separate Reports by Team Type. This guide will show you how you can adjust your reports to be split by Team Type.

  1. Start with an Existing Report: Navigate to Reports, find the default team report you want to separate, and select Actions > Edit.
  2. Access Team Type Selection: Within the report builder, locate and click the Team Types selection button in the Report Section.
  3. Select a Single Team Type: You'll see that all team types are initially selected. Deselect all of them and then select only the specific Team Type you want to see in this particular report.
  4. Save the Report Section: Save the changes you made to the Report Section.
  5. Rename the Report: Update the name of the report to accurately reflect the single team type it now contains (e.g., "5k All-Male Teams").
  6. Save the Report: Save the entire report with the new settings and name.
  7. Duplicate for Other Team Types: To create separate reports for other team types, go back to the list of reports, find the report you just modified, and select Actions > Duplicate.
  8. Repeat the Process: For each duplicated report, follow steps 2 through 6, selecting a different Team Type each time and updating the report name accordingly.

Separate Reports by Team Type

After setting up Aggregate or Relay Teams, the system will create a Report that includes all Team Types combined. To adjust, go to Reports > Find your Team Report > Actions > Edit.

Find the Team Types selection button in the Report Section and click it. This will let you change which Team Types will be included in this Report Section.

You will notice that all Team Types are selected, meaning that they will be combined.

Select the one Team Type you want for this section, and save.

Then update the name of the Report to be more accurate now that there's only one Team Type included.

Save the Report, then to quickly set up the next Report, select Actions > Duplicate.

Follow the previous steps to adjust the Team Type for this Report's Report Section, selecting a different Team Type to use for this Report, then edit the Report Name to match and save.

Follow this process for all of the Team Types you have that you want separate Reports for.

Separate Report Sections by Team Type within a Single Report

Alternatively, you could use one single Report with multiple Team Type Report Sections within it, one for each Team Type you have.

This would reduce the amount of Reports you have in your list, and will make publishing to RunSignup a little bit easier as you only have to setup auto-saves for one Report, and the system will create as many Auto-Save Streams as you have Report Sections in that Report.
